Had a bit of a walk with Xiao Wen and Mandy today. Started off at Chinatown for lunch, then went through Little Italy to Coit Tower and then down to Fisherman's Wharf.

This is one of the churches we passed around Little Italy area. There was a small art exhibition at the grassed area in front, and a lot of people lying down and sunbathing with their dogs. Getting quite hot though.Apparently the hottest day of summer hasn't arrived, so the temperature will keep rising. According to the weather forecast on my computer it's going to be 27 degrees on Tuesday (the dashboard function is pretty useful here, I have widgets for the weather forecast and time in KL, Melbourne and SF, a calendar and a unit converter on it)
Random picture. Mandy, Xiao Wen and myself.
The view from the base of Coit Tower. It's an observation tower, but you have to pay to go up, so we didn't. The view is probably just as good from the base. Thats the Bay Bridge btw, not Golden Gate.
Alcatraz. The book-3-weeks-in-advance destination. I wonder if it's really that difficult for an escaped prisoner to swim across to land from there. If their life was in danger they'd probably get superhuman strength to swim, right.
Telegraph Hill, where Coit Tower is. The surrounding area has some nice houses, probably really expensive too. Didn't take too many pictures though, because that makes me feel like a stalker. That yellow thing is the Go Car that you can hire. It seats 2 people and it uses gps to guide you around SF, tells you where to drive and has audio commentary. Pretty cute.

And then down to Fisherman's Wharf, with their sea lions.
That piece of dock is specially for the sea lions to sunbathe. There are more of them in Winter though. But they are so fat and furry. Probably will make good bolsters.
Then, walking along the dock area. This is Ferry Building, which has a market inside. There's a farmer's market on Tuesdays,Thursdays and Saturdays in the morning, so I missed that. Have to go back to do grocery shopping there sometime. Fresh, cheap and organic food. Wonderful.
