Lamu

Went for the LAMU exhibition at the ktm stations today with Yilyn, Nisa and Najib. There wasn't much to see because the art stuff was supposed to be in particular trains at particular times, although we did see one artpiece at kl central.

So in the end we decided to go to the Annexe behind pasar seni to see another exhibition instead. For those who don't know annexe was formed when pasar seni was split into 2 sections, one for the local crafts and one for the artists. So now 'Pasar Seni' is the craft market and Annexe is the galleries and ateliers.

Najib, Yilyn and Nisa did some wall painting there for RM1 per try. I decided to keep my kung fu a secret *and save RM1* so I did not participate. The pink swirly thing is Yilyn and Nisa's effort. The black head is Najib's.

Instead,i bought this shirt and a book about Jah Hut tribe folk tales.Seems that discounts follow me around, because I got both the shirt and the book for RM 5 less than the usual price. The people selling those stuff prolly thought that their prices were too cheap later in the afternoon...

According to the guy who designed the shirt,he got inspiration from Halloween and decided to have a Malaysian ghost theme.I bought the Chinese corpse design.

On the way back,we started to camwhore for the billionth time, near the longkang/sungai Klang near pasar seni. There was a lot of nice graffiti there and I got this good shot.OK,fine, compliments to Nisa for posing that way.

Oh,and i just remembered that we saw a pelacur walking around near the train station also. She looked quite kesian/scary/disgusting at the same time with that forced smile and the limping open legged walk.

next we went to Craft Haven in 1 Utama to look for supplies to make Visual communication sculptures(Yilyn and Nisa at least.Najib went back to sleep and I resort to cheaper alternatives). They had a lot of interesting stuff there, mostly for scrapbooking, but super expensive.Scrapbook paper for Rm4.50 per piece??!!!

Then on the way back,I noticed this sign in the bus:

and I though, how come the food symbol is a hamburger and what looks like a soft drink?? Malaysians really don't eat well,do they, until we most easily identify food through fast food symbols.
