HOLIDAY COMMUNITY PROJECT

I'm having a community project. It is similar to one being done currently by deviantArt. The plan is to handmake greeting cards to be sent to hospital patients( for those who want to join but are not in Selangor, you can sent files to be printed at last resort,or if your cards are CG work, although this would be more expensive, and less significant to the recepients).

Since dA's headquarters are in the US,it is not convenient nor cost efficient for us Malaysians to send our cards to the US to be distributed,so I'm having a card making and distributing project here, ideally at Subang Jaya Medical Centre, which is both near where I live and near TOA.

The aim of the project is to spread some cheer to the hospital patients over the year end holiday. We will distribute the cards around the new year. The cards are a sort of get well card, but please DO NOT write messages such as 'get well soon' as some patients are terminally ill.Write more neutral messages such as 'have a good day' or 'hope you are feeling better'.

Currently,I have 8 members including myself that have agreed to join this project:
-Yi Lyn
-Simone
-Dom
-Talissa
-Joe
-Joyce
-Alex

This project is NOT confirmed yet.I am still waiting for replies from other people and still do not know the exact number of participents. However, after I am sure, I will still have to send an e mail to the hospital management to ask for permission to send out the cards as well as have a door to door personal delivery of the cards. If they agree to meet us,we will have to go to the hospital personally to ask for permission, only after that can we proceed with the project.

Please spread the word to anyone who you think might be interested to join the project, after all one person can only make a few cards but there are so many patients.

Artistic ability is only second to your good intentions, and we do not necessarily have to make cards, other ideas such as delivering balloons or poems and just chatting to patients is also welcome, so do not worry about making a good looking card or anything.
