Hong Kong day 7

First,we went to the Kowloon Park, which is the nearest park to our guest house. The good thing about HK is that eventhough they have such a severe shortage of land, they still manage to put in so many parks,by building them on rooftops even if they have to.Kowloon park was, partially built on top of the ferry dock's rooftop. It was very good coz they had their pond of various ducks, hedge maze, water features, sculpture garden and such.Inside the park, there was a building called the culture centre, which is used as an art museum. We didn't stay long though, because *I think* my parents were bored. But anyways, there were some good exhibitions there, one by the National Geographic photographers, one by some American painters with the topic of Native America, and another one which was a HK collection.I think eventhough it was just a small-timer exhibition, can beat Malaysia's NAG.(see, the name is NAG,get it?)Even has more professional staff and more visitors.

I assume these are mandarin ducks.I'm not sure though.
Some flamingos in the pond. The city was just outside the fence,a few metres away.I wonder whether any flamingo has escaped before...the area is not fenced.
A water feature.
Morning taichi in the sculpture garden. There were a few grounps there, mostly doing taichi, but i think one of the groups was led by a gweilo teaching them self defence, forgot what it's called.
Next,we went to the Wong Tai Sin temple, which is the biggest in HK.It was really very crowded, but i think it's because on that day was Winter Solstice.I didn't know, until I read Sook's blog...There was what looked like a special ceremony going on,but it was too crowded to take any good pictures. There was a whole gang of Buddhist priests in the main prayer hall so visitors weren't allowed in.
In the temple's Chinese garden.
Outside the main prayer hall.
A water feature in the temple.9 dragons on the wall, forgot the significance. The pond had terrapins also, but nowhere nearly as keng as the number in the Penang temple.
The Chinese garden.
Nearby were the humongous clusters of shops that are collectively known as the Flower market,Goldfish market and Lady's market. The Flower and Goldfish markets are actually in proper shops, but the Lady's market is kind of like a pasar malam, but super huge and much more interesting.Err...to women,at least, because most of the stalls sell clothes and accessories. The pic at the top is the Flower market. It looks much better than that though.Smells good too.
The goldfish market. That's only 1 shop though.I felt like having a little pet after that.hmm...
Lady's market. And the trademark HK crowd. And this continues for several blocks radially.
Whee...better options than I Need Shop.I think Yilyn and Anisa should just collect a few thousand ringgit and fly themselves to HK.They'll be so entertained.

OK,until next time.
