Oh noes...I can't believe i wasted so much time on this...

aaaaaaaaaarg...........

sounds impossible,but i think i need a little break from drawing.Everything feels like work nowadays.What i need now is a tropical island and just chillax there.

Haven't been sleeping regularly over the past few weeks,Monday oklah,got 8 hours,but from Tuesday to Wednesday it's maybe 7 hours,and then suddenly on Thursday it's 2 hours.And then on Friday have to cover back by sleeping like 12 hours or so...now i think i'm in a permanent state of grogginess.Always feel like my head is cloudy and cannot react fast and my eyes are out of focus...I usually need between 8 to 9 hours of sleep.But instead I wake up early and sleep late and go to college earlier to do work and come back later to do work.

And then i end up feeling very apathic over my work.I know have to do,but so little time to do,so i cannot make it as nice as i want but in the end i don't really care also.And then when pass up the assignment I feel guilty for not putting in my best effort but at the same time almost fall asleep in class.

And then want to go to dA to look at other people's drawings to get inspiration,in the end still can get bored somehow.

Also,I'm starting to hate the 2D lab and the sinking chairs and the flipbook program thing and the lightbox that is not strong enough and my lineart for animation that is always not smooth.Oh,and all the airconds in college which have a singleminded determination to bring on another ice age in college.And the dirty carpets that make my feet get rashes.

wah...it'll be so nice if suddenly one whole week don't have to hand in assignments...

I was watching an episode of Engine (yeah,still watching,it's 10 episodes long and i need a few months to finish)And there was a scene where Jiro and the teacher were determined to get back the orphanage so much so that one of them got injured fingers and the other got s fever.

I think we're like that also right,TOA students.Very determined to pass our subjects and impress the lecturers,now starting to compete with each other by doing extra work eventhough the workload is already heavy by itself.And then end up being in a permanent state of sickness and eye baggyness (looks like cargo pants).

Talking about which,the other day Simone told me about a rumour and decided to ask a senior whether it is true. Apparently it was.I think it was last year,an animation student died from overwork.It was an Indonesian guy,he got a fever and then just died.Very tragic...but also very believable.

So...just know your limits i guess...but i think I can't tell people not to skip sleep and meals,that's already our culture...

Although i still think Veronica was crapping about holistic studying and effects of our lifestyle on water crystals.If it was true our water crystals would be like performing death metal rock or something...

When you take notice of what he wears everyday until you think you might be able to make a good guess at his favourite colour,when you suddenly feel very subconscious around that person,when you always want to make sure where he's sitting,then you know you have a problem.

I wanted to blog about this since before CNY,but dunno why I cannot make myself do it.Maybe because i know 'we' really tak mungkin jadi and I cannot let anyone know who is this person if not there will be a little scandal.And right on that day the horoscope says "good stars for romance but if you don't do anything about it maybe you don't deserve it after all".Not being suspicious,but what a coincidence.

Soh,tomorrow is Valentines Day. Another most probably uneventful day with a slight chance of heartbreak.

Maybe some girls also think the same thing as me.Especially in highschool,on Valentines Day no matter how many times you've experienced the non-occasion-ness of it,you still have a slight bit of hopefulness.By the end of the day you return from school just feeling rather unremarkable and unpretty.The most beautiful girl in school can be seen with at least 5 bouquets,various presents and many SMSes containing love confessions by anonymous people(incidentally I actually do know this to have happened to one of my former classmates).It's not as obvious in college but still you may tend to think "Oh,i wish I was like that also" when you see your friends in relationships.

Whee...i remember before the holiday i was telling Yilyn that it will be a good holiday and the assignments are not that much,I take that back.

Here's my list of assignments:

Tuesday:6 turnaround views(life drawing)

Wednesday:Bouncing ball redo, waves and arcs animation plus research (2d animation)

                      research and 30 page layout thumbnails, word design thumbnails(typography)

Thursday:caricature and character cylinder forms(cartoon character design)

Friday:research and robot design,robot-looking shapes,everyday objects turned into robots(drawing for animation)

Monday:moral worksheets(moral), finalised word design,page layout in AI,typefaces research (typography)

notice that i have 2x the amount for typography.Really hating the lecturer now.Especially since she gave me an accusing look and lousy marks for my last assignment and didn't allow me to redo,just because I wasn't in class the week before.She's like Debbie's closest competitor now.

I remember Veronica told us about holistic studying during orientation day in term 1. I confirm that she was being sarcastic.

CNY holiday please come faster!!!!

Waaaa... lately the TOA lecturers have been very happily torturing us.lalalalala...

Sleeping less that the required 8 hours of sleep daily is not good for human biochemicalphysicalmechanical etc functions.Can sometimes feel out of body experiences wan.But if you haven't studied at The One Academy,you don't know the meaning of the word 'sleepy™'.

Let me describe the experience of being 'sleepy™' .

1)First you start to yawn and tears start pouring out of your eyes continuously.

2)Second, your sense of hearing will diminish,so if you are listening to music it won't make any difference unless you turn the volume up very high.

3) Then, you might experience a strange additional force of gravity coming from your bed which can be associated with birds flying north for winter and animals hibernating.

4)Next your voice will become 1/4 of it's original volume and might also become more high pitched,since your lungs and voicebox are shutting down to channel more energy to your vital organs.

5)Body reactions will also become slower,so expect your arrival up to the highest floor in your college to be delayed by a few minutes.

6) By this point your brain might have gone into screensaver mode or completely shut down regardless of whether you run on WindowsXP or MacOSX or DOS.Other people will see this technical error as a blank stare and slight drooling.

7) In advance stages of 'sleepy™'ness, gravitational forces start to emanate from various objects such as tables,chairs and backpacks.

8)Finally, gravitational forces go full circle and emanate from the ground,so expect broken glasses/blackouts/flattened toes if you experience no8 while walking on roads.
