The Third & The Seventh from Alex Roman on Vimeo.

Whoa...have a look at this...
Alex Roman's "The third and the seventh". Which is currently sort of spreading like wildfire in my college Animation circle, and apparently everywhere else in the world right.

Oh yeah, and it's better if you go to Vimeo and full view it, definitely worth it.

It's sort of a photographic short film; there's no storyline, but just for the visual beauty.Bear in mind that everything you see is fully computer generated ,even the trees. (with the exception of the flying birds and humans, i think). It's an individual effort and the guy took 1 year to make it. I really love the texturing, lighting and composition (the depth of field). The level of detail reaches the point of making fake handheld camera shakes.OK, maybe that is common, but it adds that extra level or realism anyway. Have a look at the pen in the opening scene with the slight handheld juddering. I think if i wasn't told it was CG, I would have fully believed that it was shot in real life.

Totally. Awesome.

Saw this advertisement on an art blog just now. So cute!!
One thing I like is that eventhough Audi is a higher class of cars, they didn't try to do something snobby and posh like what BMW or Mercedes usually does, but made an ad that just makes you feel like the car is fun, and something more personal.

Sohs I was watching TV this evening, and 'The Nanny' was on,and the theme was physical education. Right after that 'Biggest Loser" came on, so you know where that will lead to right...

I got curious about BMI, which we learned in PE in school liek umpteen years ago, and which I have forgotten how to count, so I went to Wikipedia to look for an Answer.Anyways, the formula is (your weight in kg/your height in meters squared)So I calculated mine and arrived at the figure 23.4, which is concidered normal weight.

and then I scrolled down
.
.
.

and found out that for Asians normal BMI is actually nothing above 2.3

Being Asian has made me overweight ToT
